The material on this website is copyright.
The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (c. 48), also known as the CDPA, is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom which received Royal Assent on 15 November 1988.
So what? Why is copyright important? It is important because it protects the interests of:
- Those who create, and
- Those who invest in creativity.
- If there were no copyright, it would be impossible for creative people to make a living from creativity. Nobody would be willing to risk their time, effort or money in creating material because it would be impossible to produce a return on the investment.
